Artists’ Centre

Artists’ Centre, a non-profit organization, is dedicated to fostering the vibrant world of arts, literature, and culture. Situated in the heart of Kala Ghoda Arts District, Building a hub for artistic expression, learning, and collaboration. It is located in the foyer of the Army Navy Building, and formerly called the Art Entrance Gallery, the Kala Ghoda Association supports the running of this space through a diverse range of activities, including exhibitions, socio-cultural gatherings. The mission is to promote and nurture all forms of fine arts, both within the premises and in partnership with cultural institutions, public galleries, performing art organisations, literature and arts councils, and public arts organisations.

Notably, this gallery space in the Kala Ghoda Arts District now serves as a home for the renowned Artists’ Centre, one of Mumbai’s oldest and most esteemed art institutions. Founded in the 1950s by members of the progressive artists group and originally known as the “Artists’ Aid Fund Centre,” it has a rich history of supporting deserving artists, as well as underprivileged children’s art-related activities. In 2019, the Artists’ Centre lost its seven-decade-old gallery space at Ador House but has now found a new home. Our location offers a serene and classy ambience with high ceilings. It beckons artists, art enthusiasts, and connoisseurs of art to visit our new home.

Over the years, it has evolved into the “Artists’ Centre,” maintaining its character of simplicity and heritage grandeur. A very special thanks to Tata Sons who have been kind enough to help us promote the activities. If you’re an artist looking for exhibition space, we offer gallery space rentals weekly for solo and group exhibitions.

Book your slot and be a part of Kala Ghoda District’s vibrant artistic community.
