The restoration of the Ruttonsee Muljee Jetha Fountain was unveiled by the Municipal Commissioner of Greater Mumbai, Mr. Ajoy Mehta, on June 21, 2017.
Led by architect Vikas Dilawari, the project earned an Honorable Mention at the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Awards for Conservation, celebrating its excellence in heritage preservation.

The Mulji Jetha Fountain, a listed heritage structure in Mumbai’s Fort area, was erected in 1894. It was commissioned by Ruttonsee Mulji, a prominent cotton merchant, in memory of his only son, Dharamsi Mulji, who tragically passed away at the age of 15 in 1889..
