She Is Passionate About Art, Heritage And Culture And Loves Mumbai. Brinda Has Been With The Kala Ghoda Association Almost Since Its Inception.
Dr Tarana Khubchandani (Hon. Secretary, KGA) is the founder of Art & Soul, and heads the not-for-profit organization PASSAGES that educates and empowers urban women in various spheres & has helped raise awareness on the cause of Breast Cancer in Mumbai.
Sameer Tapia (Hon. Treasurer, KGA) is a founder and senior partner of ALMT Legal, a leading law firm and practice and came to be the first Indian law firm be set up in the UK in 2000, and then moved its footprints into India.
Dr Saryu Doshi is a recipient of a Padmashree. Her special area of study is Indian Miniature Painting. She was the Hon. Editor of Marg Publications, Mumbai; Founder Director of The NGMA (Mumbai), President of the Lalit Kala Akademy (Delhi). She currently serves as the Vice Chairman INTACH, Delhi.
Geeta Castelino has been a Consulting Social Psychologist, Educationist in the field of Art, Design and Fashion Technology, CSR Advisor for Corporates & NGOs. She has been developing curriculums in Fashion & related careers for the past two plus decades, and has been on various educational boards
Anuj Bhagwati is Managing Director of A.T.E. Enterprises in Mumbai, India. His non-profit engagements are mainly in urban planning, governance and education. He is trustee of the Urban Design Research Institute, Mumbai, the Praja Foundation, and the K J Somaiya Trust.
Dr Sabyasachi Mukherjee is Director General of CSMVS, Mumbai. Under his leadership, CSMVS has undergone extensive modernization, including refurbishment of the museum’s building and the establishment of a conservation centre, a new Children’s Museum, and educational initiatives
Renu Basu is a renowned Sales and Marketing Professional with over 30 years’ experience in Customer and Revenue Management, Customer Centricity, Brand Building, Communication, and Marketing She is the former Senior Vice President Global Sales and Marketing at IHCL and continues to be a consultant at IHCL. With over 12 years Board Experience, is a board member on various companies. on the Advisory Board of Art Deco Mumbai Trust and The Akshay Patra Foundation. She is an ardent supporter of arts, crafts ,culture and heritage.
Saroj Satija started out working for the Times of India, and as an editorial assistant in Femina, and as the Editor, Times of India Directory & Year Book. She is on the Mumbai Mobile Creches Advisory Council and has been a Trustee of the Artists Centre for almost two decades
Rajan Jayakar is an advocate and solicitor practicing in Bombay High Court. He is convenor of INTACH, Greater Mumbai Chapter. He is a researcher on various aspects of Bombay and is passionate about conserving art, culture and heritage. He has set up the Bombay High Court Museum and redesigned the Madras High Court Museum.
Arti Vakil is a solicitor by profession. She moved to work in the development sector several years ago. She runs a project called Wishing Well which connects donors and resources to NGOs. She is a Committee Member and Advisory Member on many not- for- profit organisations.
Asad Lalljee is the SVP of EssarGroup, CEO Avid Learning and Curator Royal Opera House, Mumbai. He has worked for 14 years as one of the ‘Mad Men’ advertising executives on New York’s Madison Avenue. In 2018, he was inducted into the prestigious FICCI Art and Culture Committee. He has co-curated the Literature Section at the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival in the past.
Ranjit Hoskote is an Indian poet, art critic, cultural theorist and independent curator. He has been honoured, by the Sahitya Akademi, with the Sahitya Akademi Golden Jubilee Award and the Sahitya Akademi Prize for Translation, and has received the S H Raza Literature Award and the 7th JLF-Mahakavi Kanhaiyalal Sethia Award for Poetry. He curated India’s first-ever national pavilion at the Venice Biennale, under the title ‘Everyone Agrees: It’s About to Explode’ (2011).
