Bomanjee Homarjee Wadia Clock Tower

Built in 1882, the Bomanjee Hormarjee Wadia Clock Tower stands at the junction of Bazaar Gate Street and Perin Nariman Street in Fort, Mumbai, a timeless tribute to Bomanjee Hormarjee Wadia, the Parsi philanthropist whose generosity left a lasting imprint on the city.

Erected in his memory after his passing in 1862, the monument reflects a legacy rooted in public welfare and education. Its intricate detailing, winged bulls, Persian-inspired flourishes, and acanthus leaves tell stories etched in stone, whispering of another era.

In December 2017, the Kala Ghoda Association undertook a meticulous restoration of the structure under the guidance of conservation architect Vikas Dilawari, ensuring its architectural integrity was preserved for future generations. Over time, as the monument required further conservation and care, Rustomjee stepped forward again in 2025, partnering with the Kala Ghoda Association to support a renewed restoration phase.  With deep respect for Mumbai’s heritage, Rustomjee has helped revive the Wadia Clock Tower once again — ensuring that this elegant timekeeper continues to stand tall as a symbol of legacy, craftsmanship, and the enduring spirit of the city.
